Day 1: Delhi
Arrive in Delhi by international flight. Overnight at The Leela Palace New Delhi.
Day 2: Delhi
Begin sightseeing in Old and New Delhi. In Old Delhi, experience the Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India, and the Chandni Chowk silver and gold market. Tour the Red Fort, dating back to 1639 AD, and Raj Ghat, where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated following his assassination. In New Delhi, sights include Humayun’s Tomb (called the predecessor of the Taj Mahal), India Gate, and the Birla Temple. Overnight at The Leela Palace New Delhi.
Day 3: Delhi - Varanasi
Travel to Varanasi, the holy city of India, by private plane. Visit Sarnath, the buried Buddhist city where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon after attaining enlightenment at Bodhgaya. Back in Varanasi, see the Ganga Ghats, followed by a boat ride and the mesmerizing Aarti ceremony. Overnight at Nadesar Palace Hotel.
Day 4: Varanasi - Agra
Depart Varanasi by private plane for Agra, where you will explore the Taj Mahal and all its beauty. Overnight at The Oberoi Amarvilas.
Day 5: Agra - Umaria - Bandhavgarh
After a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal, travel by private plane to Umaria. Experience game viewing at Bandhavgarh National Park, whose steep cliffs, rocky hills and bamboo forests host one of the highest densities of tigers on the subcontinent. Other animals found here include the nilgai (blue bull), leopard, wild boar, wild dog, and chital (spotted deer). Overnight at Taj Mahua Kothi.
Day 6–7: Bandhavgarh
Early morning and afternoon game drives in Bandhavgarh National Park. Overnight at Taj Mahua Kothi.
Day 8: Bandhavgarh - Jaipur
Depart Bandhavgarh for Jaipur, the Pink City. Overnight at the Taj Rambagh Palace
Day 9: Jaipur
Morning drive past the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds) and continue to Amber Fort. Ascend to this hilltop fort on elephant back. After lunch explore Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. See the City Palace and monumental Observatory.
Day 10: Jaipur - Delhi
Private Flight to Delhi. Late evening transfer to Delhi International Airport to board flight for onward destination.
