Day 1: Arrive Paro - Thimphu
International flights to Delhi and further connect with Druk Air flight to Paro. On arrival transfer to the charming and colourful city of Thimphu to stay at the Amankora Lodge
Day 2: Thimphu - Gangtey (Alt 2400m)
Morning drive to Gangtey across Dochula Pass (10,500 feet), which heralds the most enchanting views of Bhutan. On arrival transfer to the luxurious Amankora in Gangtey. Afternoon explore the beautiful valley of Gangtey, later visiting the village of Phobjikha – home of black necked cranes that migrate from the arid plains in the north to pass winter in milder and lower climate.
Day 3: Gangtey
Morning enjoy a soft trek through the Phobjikha Valley This pleasurable walk will give you a nice feeling for Phobjikha valley. From the small hilltop overlooking Gangtey Goemba, you head downhill through flower meadows to Semchubara village and from here through beautiful forests and into the open valley. Duration 02 hours moderate walk
Day 4: Gangtey - Bumthang (Alt-2650 m)
Morning drive to Bumthang via Trongsa. On arrival check-in at Amakora Bhumtang. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 5: Bhumtang
Explore the beautiful town of Bhumtang the traditional home to the great Buddhist teacher Pema Linga. Visit various small monasteries.
Day 6: Bhumtang
Toady enjoy a 2-3 hours’ trek through Bhumtang valleys. Difficulty level – Strenuous
Day 7: Bhumtang -Punakha (Alt 1300m)
Morning drive to Punakha and on arrival check-in at Amankora .
Day 8: Punakha
Morning begin with a beautiful hike from the Punakha Lodge along the Mo Chhu through terraces of rice, chillies and cabbage, taking you to the Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten, a monument built by the four queens of Bhutan. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 9: Punakha -Paro (Alt -2200m)
Drive to Paro and on arrival check-in at Amankora. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 10: Paro
Day to walk to Rinpung Dzong, Zurig Dzong and Ta Dzong, traverse over rivers, through the pine forests and picnic at picturesque monasteries
Day 11: Paro
Drive to Drukgyul Dzong, close to the Tibetan border. The route is inspiring, and the site of the Dzong is magnificent. Return to a peaceful orchard for a picnic lunch directly opposite Taktsang Monastery (The Tiger’s Nest). After lunch climb to the viewpoint, descend steeply, then climb up to the monastery, passing waterfalls along the way. Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples of the Kingdom, where one can see the beginnings of Buddhism in Bhutan. Duration: 7 – 8 hours moderate to difficult walk.
Day 12: Paro - Delhi
Morning transfer to Paro Airport to board a Druk Air flight to Delhi. On arrival transfer and check into JW Marriott Hotel.
Day 13: Depart Delhi
Early morning transfer for onward destination.
